Welcome address

Many a people walk in the trodden path,

Few are the people who dare to walk on

the less travelled path and they make history.

St. Ignatius was one who chose such path and made revolutions in the Church.

When others asked why, he asked why not.

When others ran away, he reformed.

When others locked themselves in, he came out boldly.

Indeed, a great personality.

On this joyous day of celebrating his feast, I am here with a sole task, a pleasant task of welcoming you all, who have come here to witness the feast and draw inspiration from this great warrior.

I consider it a great privilege and honour to extend a warm hand to each one of you on behalf of Jesuits at VMI and Thirumanur and all the pre-novices.

We are extremely happy with the august presence of the priests from our neighbouring parishes, the sisters, brothers, fathers and candidates from ……. congregations, our fellow Jesuits, well wishers and friends.

Your valuable presence lightens up this dusk. We welcome you all to the feast day celebration of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Wish you all a pleasant evening.
